How do notifications work?

• Our system reaches out to multiple datasources and gathers CVE information reguarly


• When a CVE is brought into the TrackCVE system, we will identify if it is a new CVE or a CVE that has received an update


• Depending on your notification preferences, you wil receive a combination of new and update CVE notifications

How do keywords and CVEs I am tracking impact the delivery of my alerts

• New Email Alerts are sent out as we gather new CVEs
• If you have keywords enabled, those are for specifically for capturing New CVEs, instead of receiving a New Email Alert for that specific CVE, you would instead receive a Keyword Alert


• Update Email Alerts are sent out as we identify existing CVEs that have had an update
• If you are tracking a CVE, and we have identified an update to that CVE, instead of receiving an Update Email, you would instead receive a Tracking Alert

Webhook Notifications

• All webhooks in TrackCVE system send both New and Update CVE notifications, regardless of account plan
